Three-Player ROTAGO
Players specialize as follows:
Player one: Driver and Pitcher
Player two: Fairway
Player three: Putter
A team must designate either player two or three as the Hazard. The team may not change the playing position of any player. In the case of injury or the need for a player to withdraw, the team may have a predesignated alternate who may replace the injured player without changing any positions of the other team members. If the team does not predesignate an alternate and a team member must withdraw for the match, the team forfeits the match.
Two-Player ROTAGO
Players specialize as follows:
Player one: Driver and Pitcher
Player two: Fairway and Putter
Team must designate which player is the Hazard. The team may not change the playing position of either player. In the case of injury or the need for a player to withdraw, the team forfeits the match.
NEXT-UP ROTAGO
In this version of the game, for teams of two, three, four, or five players, the playing order is preset before the match, and players hit in that order for the entire match.
Optional Match Play Format
Teams may compete hole-by-hole rather than total strokes. If a team wins a hole, they earn a point, and the first team to win a predetermined number of holes (e.g., 6 out of 12) wins the match.
