How to Play ROTAGO Team Golf
ROTAGO (pronounced rō tāʹ gō) is any version of golf where players work as a team rotating turns taking shots based on a scorecard line-up provided by the team captain before the tee-off of the match. In ROTAGO, each player has a specialized talent.
Teams may use up to five players with every play made by team member in ROTAGO having an impact on the scoring of each hole.

In ROTAGO, players specialize as follows:
1. Driver - Tees off on all holes.
2. Fairway - Takes all second shots from the fairway. (See Note 1 and 2.)
3. Pitcher – Takes any shot not on the green but under 75 yards from
the hole. (See Note 1 and 2.)
4. Putter – Takes any shot on the green.
5. Hazard – Takes any shot from the rough (anything off the fairway), bunker, divot, sand,
or where the previous shot landed and the team has chosen not to take a penalty shot.
Note 1: Unless the previous shot lands in a hazard and the shot is taken from where the previous shot landed. If the shot is in a hazard, the team may choose to have the Hazard take the shot, but using the Hazard is not required.
Note 2: A team may choose to use either the Fairway or Pitcher in the following situations:
a. the tee shot lands within 75 yards of the hole
b. the second shot, taken by the Fairway, is still not within 75 yards of the hole
Four-Player ROTAGO

The ultimate team challenge, Four-Player ROTAGO is the most popular format for intense, competitive play! Teams follow the same thrilling specialization as the five-player version, with one key twist: the team designates a player as the Hazard. In the event of an injury or a player needing to withdraw, a predesignated alternate can step in without disrupting the positions of the rest of the team. But beware - if no alternate is named in advance and a player must drop out, the team forfeits the match. It’s all about strategy, teamwork, and quick thinking - are you ready for the challenge?
